Discuss Wiring heater that came with 3 phase plug to single phase in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

You're in the twilight zone with this kinda thing. Can you still get a refund or exchange for a more suitable product?

The answer is it might be possible to rewire it internally to run from a single phase domestic socket but it also might not be possible. The elements will work with the lower voltage but their heat output will be lower. It all swings around the fan, if it's a 400v 3-phase fan then it won't work on 230v single phase.

Does it mention any single phase conversion in the user manual? If you're really lucky they might have some links you can change around to make the 3-phase to single phase change. If the elements are rated 3kW on single phase that's pretty damn close to the maximum load allowed on a domestic plug and socket, in fact if you take the new nominal harmonized voltages it's actually slightly over 13Amps.

I can confirm it is a single phase motor.

If you would like I can supply a picture of the internal wiring?

I think you should address your questions and concerns to the company you bought it off, or the manufacturer!
