UK Wiring under cladding

I a few years ago I did some cladding to my house. I'm trying to run some ethernet cable to my room as there is already a whole in my wall (must of been made by past owners) but it's covered by the cladding. I don't want to drill through the adding instead run the cable under it and then put through the bug mesh. (The cladding is on the top half of my house) is it possible and what is the easiest way of doing it
