Just wondered if anybody had problems with the above with the plastic turnscrews jamming when you try to reopen the box.Also last week,had one full of water because of a tiny split in the top 20mm membrane

Turn screws sometimes a bit fiddly if not lined up. Would never rely on the membrane to provide water ingress protection would always use correct gland. Hope that's what you're getting at?:)
 
The screws have to be aligned just right for the lid to open easily. If not, and the lid is forced off, it is easy to damage the lid/box, seen plenty examples of that.
