I have a Regatta '2-in-1' jacket - a waterproof outer jacket with a matching fleece which can be zipped together, then I can wear the fleece when it's a bit chilly, or the rain jacket when it's warm but wet, or both when the weather's truly awful.
I've had it about 3 years and apart from one of the pocket zips on the rain jacket breaking, it's still going strong.
I wouldn't spend too much on a work jacket only to see it get ripped, dirty and stained with paint, sealant, plaster, conduit glue and what have you, although last winter I was tempted to get one of those Milwaukee jackets with the battery heater built into it.

got myself a second (but more like 5th) hand army jacket in local charity shop for a fiver. it seems to do the job, well i never had a better jacket before ;)

Well Im looking forward to my fleece it was 33 deg here today in fact its still 25 at 21.48 hrs had enough of it now sick of sweating like a pig

We tryed them heated jackets at work a while back, Not sure if it was that make but we scrapped em as one started smoking when one of the warehouse guys was wearing it!!

I just have a Hi Viz bomber jacket. Its warm, dry and non obstructive.

DeWalt Gortex jacket, 1 fleece, 1 t-shirt, 1 thermal vest, a pair of gloves, two pairs of socks, a good pair of boots and I can work outside all day long.****

**** = Long as I can have a cig break in the van every hour with the blowers on full heat..... Well, I think there's a H&S law about working in -5 Celsius lol

My work / dog walking 2 in 1 came from ALDI, inoffensive dark green, loads of pockets (albeit I broke the right hand side pocket zip after stuffing it with crap)
Still hasn't worn out 2 years later....

Aye , they probably all come out of the same stable , only the profit is different .

Yeah ime not sure what happened as they got binned before I hada chance to look but there was some kind of fault and it burnt up!

Dont see why people need heated jackets anyways I have always been fine with a jacket or fleece!!

Lol you need to come up here in January then, just next to the coast will do fine. Even the Seals wear topcoats.:D

Mind you the lasses in the toon divint need them!

Get yourself down to the nearest army supply's store all my stuff is from their cheap as chips.

The solider look in camo and olive drab beats looking like a cowboy in jeans or joggers with trainers a track suit top on lol.

This year I'm sporting dewalt boots with black snickers, north face black soft shell fleece, grey tee shirt with company logo. And an old sprayway gortex jacket for outdoor wet weather.
And a scruffs peaked beanie.
Come to think of it, I look like a 80's SAS through back lmao

I have a decent Timberland Pro jacket bought on Ebay for £40 brand new! Was worth nearer £100! Only problem I have with it is that I've left it at a job in the last week or so and haven't worked out which one yet :prrr:
