Hi guys
I am meeting a client next week about some work in a petrol station and near the forecourt. I was wondering if anyone has a handy link to the appropriate regs. DSEAR, or any other appropriate regs.

Thanks.

some of our lads done a course on it 2 day thing all about h&s,cant remember the name of it,will find out next week if your still stuck..

SAFTEY PASSPORT you need "Core" and "petrol Filling Station " modules Iv got mine it 2 days all HnS and covers things like Zones around pumps fill points and how best to Isolate work areas Ie Use VAN rather than cones to prevent access to lane gen public try to get round cones If you have worked on a forecourt before its stuff you will have comeacross before

Does your insurance cover petrol stations? When I checked out Insurance Companies last year most had a excess premium for petrol station four courts [which I don't have]. I had my NAPIT assessment last week, petrol station four courts was treated as an additional item needing insurance and competence evidence etc.

Compex is for work on Pumps on the forecourt its not classed for Compex just zones according to the guy @ City fridge the course is realy interesting and well worth doing it doesnt give the answers but makes you Think in a different way
