Hello. I'm an engineer and serial DIYer on both cars and my house. Over years I've tackled many projects including a full re-wire and all new plumbing and heating system on my last house. I like to do things properly and neatly, even where the work will for ever be hidden from sight.
If it was legal I would take on gas work but it's not, so I don't.

I will post my first question in one of the other forums.
 
welcome. itis legal for you to do gas work in yor own home, but be sure you are cometent practically first. we don't want to see Cornwall as an island. they might want to join the EU. ??

Really? Learn something new every day! I installed my own air system in my previous house, which ran at 7bar and did not leak. I'm sure I could make leak free joints on gas pipework that runs at less than 20mbar. ?
