Hi people

Anyone come across the issue of periodic testing shop freezer installations with YY cable fed loosely tie wrapped, direct from the DB board to plug socket units behind each freezer in the shop area
I want to C2 the installation as non standard cable, poor mechanical support and inaccessible isolation points, but I need some comfort that there is not a reasoning for justifying this type of installation as it seems to be in all stores

Any advice anyone. ?

plug/socket is an acceptable form of local isolation. maybe code it C3 for the poorly installed cable.

The OSG says that the use of non standard cable is "discouraged". They may as well say do what you want, we're not really that fussed:grimacing:

C3 for the issues you have described.
Is there any existing certs? With signatures for design, install & test?
Also are the sockets RCD protected?

C3 for the problems you have identified.

Hi - poor mechanical support probably best judged on site. If someone were likely to trip on it or if it might be readily pulled out then perhaps C2. A few clips might turn that into a C3 for the unapproved cable.

For items like sy I would code them FI.
Designer/installers may have done all the necessary research, etc.
