Hi :)

I'm currently renovating my outbuilding. My electrician has fitted 10 conduit LEDs (that support both leading and trailing edge) and x4 Meanwell PCD-40-350B LED drivers recommended by my lighting supplier. These drivers apparently support leading and trailing edge Triac dimming.

The problem that I have is that the 3 gang 2 way dimmer switch that I have purchased uses the Varilite V-pro dimmer modules (trailing edge), and the lights flicker constantly when turned on, and both when they are set to minimum or maximum brightness. From my research, it looks as though this is probably because the LED drivers support Triac dimming, but the Varilite V-pro dimmer modules do not.

It looks as though I have 2 choices;

1) swap the dimmer modules out for V-com dimmer modules, which support leading edge
2) swap the LED drivers out for some that will work with my V-pro dimmer modules

Is anyone able to advise which route to go down? If I went with 1), is it ok to use LED downlights with leading edge? From my research, trailing edge seems to be the preferred option for LED lights.

All help appreciated!
