Hi all, just posting my mandatory introduction thread!
I'm in my early 30s and not enjoying my desk job and I'm considering chucking it all away and retraining to be a spark - hence my account here.
Don't really have much else to say, currently I'm just reading through the regs and such and trying to work out if I'm interested enough to memorize it all!
Cheers

Lots of people have done that you will find plenty of advice about that on here! How long have you been thinking about it?

Couple of months now. I didn't want to rush into anything and make expensive mistakes...
I've got an electronic engineering degree and plenty of practical experience so that's not really a problem for me, but I'm still on the fence if I hate my current job enough to go back to school and learn all the theory etc needed to qualify - especially since it'll take a couple of years!
