Emergency lighting

Alright guys is it deemed acceptable to have one emergency lighting key switch controlling more than one non maintained light? Example would be if there were 2 non maintained lights in close vicinity of each other ie one outside external door and one just inside.Cheers

Yes that's fine. Imagine if you needed a keyswitch for each emg fitting in a large office - you'd be there for 3 hours just switching them off to test.

Yes, I would normally fit one key switch per circuit or per room depending on the layout of the premises.

in reality 1 key switch per floor is Ideal done by contactors or realays makes testing a dam site easier than trying to find the key sswitch behind that filing cabinet to turn off the one light you thats on

Great thanks guys I'm going to be installing 7 non maintained in a large kids home so that may make things easier cheers
