Hi all,

Customer has an extension and this compromises existing meter position, DNO is extending incomer and putting meter box on a different wall further away. The back side of the new position is the existing house which they don’t want to disturb, so I can’t run the tails inside the existing part of the house back to the DB. What I was wondering was if I could hop in the trench that’s been provided for the DNO with an SWA and then come up into the timber frame extension where I’ve got a relatively easy route back to the DB. In summary!…

• Is there anything with “sharing” a
trench?
• I really don’t want to wrestle with 25mm SWA in the meter box but with vehicle charging etc I’m reluctant to go 16mm with a smaller fuse, any tips on a good switch fuse unit to make a tough job easier?

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read and respond, much appreciated!

Can't you swa cable back to the in take from the on the wall. Has for the switch fuse does the size matter.
