But can't seem to find much on the written side. Just wondering what people used in there prep? Any books or online material...

    Teat leads megger 1552

Thanks for the response SparkyChick. May just be overthinking things, just going through revision for GS38 and noticed it saying fused test leads, and just thought that the centre would be maybe a stickler for the "rules" as such. Just would like to make sure I can use my tester so I don't waste...

    Teat leads megger 1552

Hi Guys, just looking for a bit of advise. I am booked up to go on 2391-52 soon, and was looking at using my own tester, Megger1552. It is all calibrated from last month, but was wondering with my leads they are unfused. Would it be a wise idea to spend a bit and get fused ones? Or will the...

    2391-52

Thanks for yhe reply. I am going with a company called PTT. Its a 5 day course. They sent an email with revision material that goes through the tests but not masive detail about the circuits being tested, just a generic view 9f the tests, which made me think they don't go through testing?

    2391-52

Ah ok, thanks westward. Didn't think about asking about wedging in the contactor. I was thinking for a bit of quickness getting those R1+R2 links, so not to have to unscrew and re screw the terminals. Just link line to cpc But you are right. Need to get quicker, as I only have a set time, and...

    2391-52

Hi Guys, sorry if posting in the wrong section. I am due to start 2391-52 course soon, and there seems to be from what I have found out, a 3 phase DOL motor circuit that I am to inspect and test. Just wondering with testing continuity of cpc, as far as I can think, need to do cpc -L1,L2,L3 from...

    Inspecting and testing

Thanks Westward. You've been really helpful. Hopefully I will pass all first time, but good to know you only retake parts failed. To be fair, it will be the practical that I will struggle on as its not something I cope well with having someone watching me over my shoulder. But like you say, deep...

    Inspecting and testing

Thanks for the response and advice. Will definitely have a read up on GN3. Hopefully I will come away passing it, as I've been told it can be difficult to pass. On an9ther thought, if say you pass practical but fail say for example the written part does that mean you fail the whole course? Or...

    Inspecting and testing

I do have experience of initial testing, mostly single phase. Mostly my work is new domestic installs. EICRs not so much. I have done a little with a previous company, but it was a while ago.

Thanks for your advice. Will probably do C&G. If any one can recommend good study material that would be great. Thanks.
