DIY solar — looking for PV array test report
I built a solar system on wheels, I live in a ground floor flat and I don't have a roof, so I have an "Off Grid", system, but unfortunately, the light won't work because there is no earth on my system, I am waiting to find out if I can attach an earth, as my alternator has a "Floating Neutral"...- MikeM3

You have probably fixed this by now, but if you haven't, then you need to connect 3 lights separately, one to each phase, then connect another wire to the other side of each light, as neutrals, these 3 neutral wires must be joined together, like a star connection, this is the way to power lights...- MikeM3

Electrical engineering or electrical installation course
I would suggest the Engineering Course, somewhere along the way during the course, installation will be included, I assume that you mean domestic installation. looking around, I don't know of any or many engineering courses, so in the future there won't be too many industrial electricians to go...- MikeM3

Tanks again Kim, One of the reasons not to connect to the grid, is the RCBO on the lights, it trips and I assume, it is because there is no earth, strangely the RCD didn't trip. Having spent days and hours of searching for answers, I haven't found any, that explains earthing a floating...- MikeM3

Don't worry mainline, I have no intention of going into the home, grid, electrics, I just wanted to see if it was possible, but with no earth, it is dangerous, this will be a stand alone off grid system, the whole project, was an experiment.
