Just to inform you that EDF have got their act together. This is my third payment. I sent email with meter reading on Thurs 6th Sept, got notification of payment yesterday - 8 Days !!!!!!!!!!!
Seems to be one of the promptest payers at present according to the various forums around.
Also to inform you that my system installed ( 6 x Sanyo 250W Hit panels with SMA 1200 invertor) 28/11/11 has already beaten its estimate annual output with 2 months to go and its not been the best summer!

System installed 28/2/12, FIT application sent to EDF same day by recorded delivery (& acknowledged received by them 29/2/12). But still awaiting contract to sign & return! :-(

I'm aware they had a huge backlog - and had only just started processing forms from the Dec '11 rush when ours was installed late Feb. So not worried, just commenting!

I would chase EDF. It only took 4 months for me to get my contract, and I had mine fitted a week before the original December 2011 cut-off! 7 Months seems to be a bit excessive, they are paying out v.quick. Installations have dwindled away so they can't be that busy in the FIT Dept.

Thanks Newton, I suspect you just beat the rush if you got in in late Nov '11. I know from EDF that they will still registering Dec '12 installs onto their systems as late as March this year!

I'm not actually in any rush as our analogue meter runs backwards currently, and I don't have to notify them of this until I get the contract (indeed I wouldn't even have thought anything of it had I not read this forum!) I'll give them to the end of the year and then chase, at least the first payment will be a bumper one when it arrives!

Contract received yesterday (26th Sept) for FIT application received by EDF (confirmed by Royal Mail) on 29th Feb. So almost exactly 7 months, although I haven't chased them at all, as stated above.

They do want it back signed within 10 days tho, cheeky bu99ers! :smiley2:

Hope you are going to claim interest for the late payment - I can guarantee they have done so, and if you were late paying your electricity conumption bill .......

System now 1 Year old. Estimated 1183kwh produced 1278kwh which equates to approx 8% above estimate - HAPPY esp with this summer !!!.
System is 6 x240 Sanyo Hit Panels with a SMA 1200 invertor.
SSE facing 40 degree roof tiny bit of shade from wispy trees first thing in summer.
Panel fit neatly on the back of garage roof.
Based in NR151RF (Just south of Norwich, Norfolk)
