Morning All
Qualified electrician, usually stay away from alarms but my friends parents have issues.
Texacom Vertas panel, not worked for over 3 years (since they had the front door changed.
Located the cable and linked out to see if this overcame the issue, it did.
Problem now is that the system was originally configured to set without the use of a code, which they tried. Then being slightly more senior they couldn’t remember the code to unset. After lots of ‘it must be this’ codes, the code was not correct.
This obviously led to the alarm being activated by a PIR. Managed to take a photo with the lid off as the noise inside was deafening.
System now sits fully armed as the code is not known but with the PIR’s covered (taped up).
Is there any way from this state that I can change the password.
I’m not an alarm guy but with decent instruction I can navigate my way round systems.
Any help appreciated to get them out of the current fix.

- TL;DR
- Texacom Veritas - can’t unset, seniors forgot the code
