during my extensive investigation it seems transport of up to 500 units in one load by road is exempt from any restrictions.
it was also found that 1 smoke/0.1 cubic m of waste is an acceptable lvl for land fill.
just a quick update,
I have spoken to the environment agency this morning and been advised to leave the old alarms with the customer for them to put in their household waste.
I already spoke to them and they were not forth coming, they said the customer can put them in their bin, which they can if they replace them but not if i do.
just wondering if anyone had chapter and verse on what should be done and by who.
Hi,
I am working on a contract to replace a number of smoke alarms in domestic properties that are past there replacement date.
can anyone shed any light on who/where the old smoke alarms should go to comply with the weee directive?
I have a waste carriers license and am aware that i should...
i have used these
Uni-Grid Dimmer Switches | Uni-Grid Dimmer Switches up to 700w
and they worked fine, these were with the jcc led 7 although i did have 5 lamps as recomended by jcc.
these dimmers have an adjustment on the side to eliminate flicker.
could someone let me know which makes of timed fan only require the perm Line to be fused as all the ones i fit are the same as in post 24 that shows both perm and switched needing fusing. Would be nice to not have to put the light on the fuse as well.
normaly from cu to isolation switch from isolation swith to cooker outlet behind cooker, then cooker is connected to cooker outlet behind cooker.
obviously its a notifyable job.
i have never been "asked" to show safe isolation, however every time i have removed a cu cover and tested for isolation a tick is put on his report as i suspect it is when you do it.
