    Smart relays are easy enough with drag and drop logic/function blocks and cheap. Basically a mechanical mini PLC. What’s wrong with 2 interlocked switches?

    No idea on the longevity but change the links to delta in the motor and use the below. Link the run command in so as soon as it has power it will start to accelerate. 130 quid, job done...

    The country needs apprentices, there is such a skills shortage in engineering. We have 2 50k/y multi skilled jobs up for grabs and most applicants were terrible. Had an interview yesterday at 1600 for 1 of the 3 short listed, and he didn’t show….
