I'd only be using them about once a month, I'm based on the other side of the town so I just use an independent wholesaler in the same industrial estate as myself. I'm not quite as involved in electrical installations anymore. Plant & Machinery is my priority to be honest- rapparee

Why does my underground pump trip the rcbo?
has there recently been a gate valve removed? if it has worked perfectly fine for 5 years, it's hardly a setup issue. why do you think there should be a mega ohm between the windings of the motor, has the manufacturer specified this?- rapparee

Pat testing. How many are you expected to do?
I was quoted two prices recently £0.85 per item and £1.65 per item I ended up getting the apprentice to do it ourselves, I had the gear and it had to be done by the end of the month so no time like the present and all that- rapparee

Do it right Stick in a Glen Dimplex PLXE or Nobø Panel Heater If you get a Nobø top outlet you can even get a clip on glass to make it more attractive Make sure whatever heater you get is Lot20 compliant- rapparee

No question, but i personally find domestic work more ("fun") than commercial & industrial... change my mind.
I had one of these on Wednesday Turned up at 7am, glum Polish nightshift charge hand. Small problem. The busiest machine in the factory didn't run last night. The 24v power supply was tripping out. No contingency, no Plan B The factory is running out of parts fast I'm crawling about...- rapparee
