Generator earth electrod?
Always a very sensible idea to install an earth electrode outside I recall the U.S. forces had a few problems with showers blocks when they failed to do that in the sandpit- Jurassic Sparks

My Motor Engineer ( he is a Proper motor engineer) had a chap in with a Skoda Octavia Diesel Estate identical to mine Cam belt change was due, John quoted for normal service, plus cam belt, idler pulleys, tensioner, water pump, and Aux belt, plus some bolts that need replacing at the same time...- Jurassic Sparks

Several tradesman that I know have been hit in the same place It seems to be members of the nomadic travelling community they pull up next to you and slide the side door open and away they go I refuse to use a van any more for just this reason- Jurassic Sparks

It is not negative, you do realise that the Law changed a few years ago, Corporate Manslaughter can be used to Imprison a person who kills through poor workmanship/shoddy materials, unskilled labour if the Electrician has missed something off ( it happens) then you will have to pay for it later...- Jurassic Sparks

Replacement cable type for power tool
I use Artic grade Blue flex for 220V power tools I used to install that on all the power tools at my last employers but I used 3 core, and crimped the earth off the 2 core cable should be double insulated try a local tool hire company, they will probably sell you the correct length for a few quid- Jurassic Sparks
