    Not that I would condone damaging this illegal cable, but it may get caught on a rope tied on the back of your car and pulled out of the ground and the charge point and the consumer unit, now that would be inconvenient.

    It's dangerous, and they have no right to run anything on your land, I suggest you politely ask them to remove it, where to is not your problem, it does beg the question why have they run the cable on your property and not their own?

    The two units I fitted where in the UK and still working two decades later, both where pre-gassed and pressurised for the length of piping supplied with the units, if I remember I bought one off e-bay, don't know if you can still do that?
