Cheap twin

Meteor are doing 2.5 twin for £47 including vat 6242Y 2.5mm Twin & Earth, Blue/brown Cable (100mt coil)| MeteorElectrical.com think they're doing 1.5 on the cheap as well.

You know if that's the decent t+e? Some t+e is hurrendous to bare back, terrible pvc. If it's the decent stuff, then that's an alright price...about £5quid more expensive in wholesaler here...5er isn't alot, but it all adds up

Daft as it sounds, got my last lot of 2.5mm and 1mm from Wickes, they were doing 2.5mm at 45 quid for 100m. Gone up again now though. Was a shame they didn't have any 4mm as well, but apparently no Wickes stock this any more cos, 'It wasn't selling'.

Probably due to the helpful notice the sheds put above the 2.5mm "suitable for ring mains" so Mr DIYer assumes all sockets can be run in 2.5mm!
