So away to lay flooring in my bathroom and as usual have to lift and refit a few boards that the plumbers (who redid the heating before I moved in) butchered.
However tonight...they have surpassed themselves totally...
earth clamp on the bottom of the bathroom rad, (not needed as RCD board and equipotential main bonds in place) contract seemingly required it....pulled up the floorboard, gave the earth cable a tug to move it out of the way...moved more than I would expect...then found it was connected to Sweet F All....this lot really take the biscuit in terms of bodged up workmanship....cables run against hot pipework (80+C heating pipes), pipes not clipped down anywhere so they rattle when the boiler fires (sorted now), checks at half the depth of a joist in at least 2 places...hmmm so thats where the lone ranger went off to.....
