I'm about to fit a pottery kiln which is rated at 15Kw. It's on a 240 volt supply.
By my reckoning that give a current of 62.5 Amps.
There is a 63 amp type B MCB in the consumer unit.
There is also a 63 Amp switch on the wall fed by a 10mm square cable.
Will this be enough or do I need to fir a bigger MCB, witch and heavier cable.

So these things actually exist and people install them? I thought they only existed in college cable-calc exercises!! Can you post a picture? I want to see what one looks like.

kiln, used for firing pottery. if there were no kilns, you'd have no mugs to swig your tea out of.

A lot of amateur potters have them in their sheds. My mother used to have a bit like this....

Although the one I've linked to appears to be an 8kW kiln running off a 13A plug.....
