Embarrassingly but i hold my hands up....

And yes, you may ask how i've gotten through life.

Today i found out that inflammable and flammable meant the exact same thing. Always though inflammable meant 'not flammable' deary me.

Anyone care too shoot me?

haha. when my lad was 4, he read on an aerosol that it was inflammable so he squirted it at the gas fire. luckily only a bit of his hair and the fire surround was singed.

No was slapping a pir security light up today, just had a quick nosey of the manufactures instructions and it said "don't install on inflammable surfaces" and i was like eh...so checked in my dictionary, and inflammable / flammable have the exact same definition.

Who knew....everyone but me by the looks of it, ha.

I blame these new fangled Comprehensive schools.

Can't beat a good old-fashioned Secondary Modern school followed by a spell in Borstal.

obviously, harry potter did a stint in borstal if you can get spells there.

I'd put money on not being the only one on here not to know that, and at least i'll have educated someone else in this embarassing situation.

it didn't become am embarrassing situation until you publicly announced it on a forum!
no one would have been any the wiser had you just kept it to yourself :p

also, you mentioned you looked it up in your dictionary when you were fitting it. do you take a dictionary to work with you?!
