Hi lads,

Hope we are all well.

In July i shall be competing in tough mudder ( Tough Mudder - Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet ) and will be raising money for the NSPCC whilst im at it. Im trying to raise near to or over £1000 and so have been shamelessly selling myself all over the place in attempts to raise some donations.

If any of you big hearted fellas can space me a pound or two to go toward my cause and help support me actually FINISH this event which is hurdle number 1, then i would be incredibly grateful. It's for a good cause, and you can take extra pleasure in knowing i will be probably be face down in a fire pit somewhere on the 6th mile!

To sponsor me and make a donation just visit Ben Wade is fundraising for the NSPCC.

Thanks lads

Thanks pal, this weekend hasnt done my training regime any good so far, i managed to avoid too much chocolate but inevitably consumed enough to set me back a good week or two!

I cant wait for it, im dead keen to get into it. You should sign up to the November event mate to get your eye in for the Sheffiled run.

What sort of training are you doing? On the maps of the events i've looked at it works out at less than half a mile between the 'activities' so i wasn't gonna bother upping my cardio at the gym or anything.

Well that was i thought initially, but without a goiod level of cardio your going to be in a mess pretty early on. I think the keep is having a good level of sustainable cardio but not necessarily being able to run a half marathon flat out. being able to run 3-5 miles non stop i think is a good bench mark so thats what im aiming to do, and most of the running is unfortunately on rocky inclines which is where the pain is going to be!

At the moment im cycling about 10-12 miles a time, running 3-5 miles, doing a lot of core stuff like pull ups, press ups, lunges, farmer walks, military jerks and squats etc. I played american football for 3 years and have never had a problem with size and strength but im looking to keep my weight down so im not dragging my arse around the course.

Mate sign up to the July event! itll kick your arse into training hard now and be well worth it, ill see you there.
