Hi fellas,

Might have a job soon where i am installing a socket and light in 64 garages, spread over 4 blocks.

The SEB will be installing 4 supplies to each block, and so i will install a main CU with sep meters for each garage.

How would you cert this??

Its not exactly part of a residential dwelling?

Are they part of houses, like being seperate from houses but being sold with them like they do in 'Mewses' nowadays, or are they going to be rented out to randoms as a business?

They are sold with the house, although they are not attached in any way.

I like the idea of just doing the CU.

Trouble is..... notify?

not sharing supply with dwellings, so IMO non notifiable.

Yep I see no need to notify if on seperate supply and not attached, EIC for each CU, but what are you putting in the garages themselves? Cos if it's just a CU, what are you going to test for the EIC?

Main CU in one garage fed from intake.

Each garage will have its own tariff mete rwhich will then feed a socket & spur for light.

Hmm. BUT, are they 'part' of a residential dwelling (albeit separate, physically) ?

Or are they commercial.

I think if its residential you should notify:(.

Officially.

dunno a weird one!

If they have their own supply I wouldn't call them dwellings or part of dwellings. One wouldn't dwell in one, would one?
