    It's not clear cut as I read it. If you were to ask HMRC, I suggest they would say a replacement inverter is standard rated. It's a [whole] system that consists of panels with cabling, control panel and inverter that is reduced rated when installed.

    I do not think the DNO will be worried, but from memory the FIT supplier will, because changing the panels potentially changes the TIC as the FIT suppliers define it. The answer must be: - read the letter giving authority to generate in parallel. (Here, WPD issue one.) - read the FIT contract
