    120meg ohm?? If so then its fine your allowed 2 ... It's just people have a tendency to write +200meg ohm on the test sheet and people get led to believe that's the minimum.. I'd happily put my tongue on the insulation with that much resistance mate :)

    Another common one is where they have slung in a bit of t&e instead of 3core to make a 2 way switch then end up using the earth as a strapper... Aah gotta love our cowboy friends .. Bless em for trying!!!

    Dont know about you guys but generally in the stuff I do, we take every data point back to a patch panel then have the most tedious job of making of somewhere in the region on 100-200 data cables into the cabinet.... Looks neat when done though i guess.. Just a big part of a sparks job these days

    Check out elements electric underfloor heating, it's not the mats though it's on a drum... Good stuff and it even tells you how to measure it out, I've installed loads of it and it's dead easy to put in and the running costs are not to bad either to be honest. good luck

    Yeah that's odd would have thought the rcbo would have seen the imbalance in current they are normally quite good :s dodgy rcbo by sounds of things but you say you trip tested it and it tripped in Good time ok?.. Sure there will be a lot smarter guy to give a better explanation I'm sure.
