Hi,

just a a quick one as boiler controls are not my strong point if I'm honest but here goes.

i have 4, 2 port valves, 2 do the hot water, 1 does the underfloor heating and one for the towel rails,
my question is, normally as you may know, you would connect a pump on the orange wire of the motorised valve to ignite the boiler at the same time. but however in my case, if I were to just have the hot water on for example, this would also trigger the pumps to run on the UFH and the towel rail circuit. (The two hot water pumps and valves are doubled up)

i am am not sure if this is right but could I just connect the lives to the pumps on the brown wire side of the motorised valve instead of the orange as my theory is the pump will only come on when the switch wire to open the motorised becomes live. or would I have to put in a relay for each pump?

Thanks in advance

Would using a 3 channel time clock or individual timeclocks then wiring three separate sort of "systems" help. the other valves won't operate if they don't have their "on" switch wire from the time clock and so having the oranges linked up wouldn't make a difference as the pumps will not be required to pump by the valve for that individual system as nothing will be called for. Sorry, think I might be a mile off on this one but worth a try?
