Well would it? And maybe you could explain why it would be wrong to assume it could never become live? Seeing as that conduit could easily be kicked out. This is in the trainee section of this website, perhaps a little more insight into my way of thinking might be advantageous.

Hi- I'm looking at this on iPhone so I reckon I can't see the whole picture too well, but would that cage be metal and would it need earthing as it would be classed extraneous to the install?

Looked in on a friends CU today. The story goes that a builder and previous to that, the old owner of the house did a fair amount of the electrics. Whilst no PIR has been done, the first thing that springs to mind is "what a mess!"
Anyway...
I wouldnt worry so much mate- thats easy for me to say! There are always good and bad eggs in every walk of life.
I literally shake me head at how pathetic some comments can be on here and other web sites. Also, just because they are published, doesn't mean everyone agrees with the comments...
Good luck mate! TBH if you've done the same install in other places and its all fine, then as IT support said to me recently when totally unable to re-create issues "it's which way the wind blows" great.....

there really are lots of suggestions, if's but's and maybes: one thing: it is really important where your splitters are too. for example i have to have my hdmi splitter right next to my projectors in one of the spaces i maintain-not 5 ft away or 30ft;0.5m.
