    Thank you. That seems like a sensible answer. I think I've over-researched this and found some people disagreeing about using diversity for induction hobs, which put doubt in my mind.

    Yeah one of those. Thanks, I'm going to get someone out. Just for my understanding, what's a line to earth fault? Also - this may / may not be relevant, but in all the resetting the MCB, I left it on at one point and got a shock when I first went to put the spacer on (I know - I'm an idiot)...
