Who owns the Recognised Trademark “Electricians Forums” (or anything close i.e. Electrician Forum .co.uk) in the UK?

" There appears to be some confusion over the domain name electricansforums.co.uk, and electriciansforums.co.uk. We have been asked a few times by potential buyers of the company what is going on with this domain that’s similar to ours. So I wanted to clear up something so it’s easy to...

    Linux based file server system

Probably right up @Dan 's street.... I'm thinking of ridding myself of all the various cloud storage accounts that seem to be the disease of online life and instead convert a machine into a network file server to sit on my home network, accessible from the outside world. Thirty years ago I...

UK Is 0.00 an acceptable R1+R2

Results can be found by........ measurement, enquiry or calculation. To my mind, it is better to put the calculated value that you have of 0.002Ω because otherwise any other normally calculated values such as pfc automatically become effectively void as well (230/0 = 0, 230/0.002 = 115,000).

Time to change my energy supplier

Interesting. Also bulb to Octous except they instantly wanted to triple my DD ‘to keep on track’. I was having none of it and refused, saying let’s give it a year and if we’re adrift then I’ll pay the difference, no problem. Since then have been keeping a meticulous spreadsheet of readings and...

Hedgetrimmer?? Do you often do house calls then where Mrs Jones asks you to trim her bush?

Which sds drill brand or specs ?

Tip: Generally speaking, once you start collecting battery power tools then you'll want to keep with the same brand as that way the batteries are interchangeable and you can save money by buying 'bare' units that don't come with a battery. So look for a product range that'll suit your needs...

    Permanent metal building

This all sounds like the proverbial bag of spanners, to me. Firstly, if connected via a 32A socket then the socket requires 30mA RCD protection (simply because it's a socket <= 32A) which in turn then means you can't manage discrimination with the downstream RCBO's. That's just poor design...

    Phase wiring in single cores

If you're running a 5c feed then a roll of black and grey single cost the same as brown, so it's a no-brainer. Where using brown as purely the only colour in a 3ph distribution to 1ph outlet scenario can get muddled is simply in cable management and identification back at the feeder board - in...

    LED tape with effects

The golden question here isn't about the tech, that's the easy bit (when you know how...), the question is about how realistic is your client's budget?

Isn't grounding where people can touch dangerous?

Quite the opposite - it makes things safer.

Long Cable run to garden office

Given the very small current draw of some led lights and a few laptops that could easily be solved by a spv and battery combo.
