is simply not good enough, to try and work with such a small window, sorry, unless this changes, this forum is dead as far as I am conserned.

Hi Dan and all,
I'm a DIYer (with a copy of the Regs, and always compliant) and find this site extremely helpful - most questions I come up with have already been answered. Yes, the ads are a big PITA, but it costs to run a site (I've no idea of the actual costs - ?) and without sponsorship from the advertisers, who's going to pick up the bill. Personally, I'd be happy to pay, say £10 PA for access/use, but to collect and administrate membership fees would generate ever more increasing costs, so Dan you're damned if you and out of pocket if you don't. Sorry, I can't be more constructive. CGJon

Adverts are back for me, too. Although I’m on my phone at the moment so who knows. @Dan Having just typed this I’m now struggling to even get to the send button!!!!

Thanks James, I found the options just now. If I was a "pro", I'd consider it a very worthwhile investment, probably almost a necessity.

The problem is that even the paid up pros are getting these adverts… which means something has happened that is beyond the background settings that should limit who sees them

The regular visitors to the forum would still get adverts, but not in as many numbers, and are designed to be non obtrusive.

Subscribing did work for a while, but the ads are literally everywhere now.

Not making the forum easy to use!

They’re not adverts… they are valid posts from a new sponsor. That’ll calm down…
There was a thread about them yesterday because a lot of us thought they were AI.
