There is an other issue wit useing 19" racks on 13A plugs, the earth leakage of all the kit addeds up. If you have an earth condutor break then all that kit becomes live and give someone a nasty shock. Put the surge protection at the distribution board, use some decent ABB or similar surge kit...

I have just moved into a Flat that has the Bosch Easycontrol. Even though I do a reset it keeps asking for an intital installation username / password. How do I reset this?
If you are exporting a TT arangement then use the traditonal brass gland and do use some SWA and do the cable calculations. If the supply is TNCS (PME) or in come cases TNS then you will need to use a NYLON (plastic gland) at the load end and provide suitable local earthing arangements not...
It only gets too good if it is a PME network and you might get more than what the cable is rated for long term through the bonding conductor during a combined earth neutral conductor break. This could be seen with a substantial radio installation where great efforts are made for a function earth...
