    TNC-S Supply but combined again at DB?

    Took a look at a block of flats today that has a TNC-S supply. Each flat is fed by a 2-core mineral insulated cable. The earth and neutral are then combined again using a henley block prior to entering the consumer unit. Has anyone come across this before?

    Voltage tester question

    If you used a voltage tester to touch L-E does it allow the 230V to actually flow to earth or does it use a smarter means of calculating voltage without requiring a current to pass? In theory, could you damage a connected item downstream?
