I installed a Hypervolt charger (the most recent model which is no longer available for direct purchase fr Hypervolt)
It’s on a smart octopus setup
Works perfectly fine on scheduled charge
But when doing an Octopus ‘bump charge’ , Hypervolt says voltage falls...

I was asked to see why a set of sockets weren’t working in the house (which appear to be a ring circuit based on breakers)
There was no power on either leg in any of the sockets.
Cables appear to run down from loft, which is totally inaccessible unless you are a small child in any of the rooms...
Been asked to do some rewiring, and have said needs upgrade of consumer unit really
Main question is regarding earthing - Zs reads at 0.45 ohms (which suggests at TNS) But cannot see where earth cable goes to from old fuseboard.
There is no earth to fuse carrier or cable to fuse carrier in...

I wonder if anyone has any useful thoughts on this. Client wants me to redo consumer unit but doesn’t want disruption to fabric of building. I’ve attached pic - looks like original wiring was a 16mm earth to the live incomer .
The meter box is >20m away.
I guess cable is cable but 16mm...

Curious what you would do
Screw holding ring final circuits live wires in MCB wont unscrew ,
it’s literally a ground out circle from what was originally a Philips head screw
Therefore couldn’t do end to end continuity
I did end to end from socket instead,
MCB probably needs to be changed...
