Hi everyone While I am well aware of the dangers of asbestos, how do you recognize he stuff? Farm sheds are often roofed with he white stuff but that's all i could recognize. Ive never even seen brown or blue. What about Artex? Also can anyone recommend what kind of, mask / respirator, should...

Asbestos in switch gear

I am aware that a lot of old switch gear contains asbestos where the old fuse wire carriers are inserted. I am curious as to what is the correct and safe method remove this. Is it necessary to call in an external contractor as i know they can be pretty pricey.

White asbestos

Fitted some spot lights in some soffits/eves today , after cutting the 3rd hole , i started to wonder what material it was made of , so i took a bit round to my brother (builder) who confirmed my supisions , it was white asbestos :eek: (wore mask for the rest of the work) any of you lads come...
