2 lead vs 3 lead

Hi

Can any one point me in the right direction Re literature or articles concerning 3 lead method of testing .
The limited testing i have done & DVD's only seem to have used 2 lead methods .Any advice would be
appreciated.

Hired a megger last time i tested my own property

The only time you need 3 leads on the megger is on the no trip Zs setting and the RCD setting. All other tests including Zs and pfc on the high current setting need only 2 leads.
