what does everyone think, i am employed by a large petrochemical company at the moment good pensions scheme wage etc, i trained there for four years doing an apprenticeship in electrical maintinance, and worked for a further year in the maintenance squad. Over the last year tho ive been working on shift within the process of the plant, i bored of it already and want to get back to sparking! They say there is no position within maintenance anymore,

im thinking about goin it alone tring to set up my own business but need help!!!!

i have an SVQ level 3 in electrical engineering maintenance and an HNC in electrical engineering as well as city and guild 2381 ( 16th ed ). Do u think this is enough to go it alone or would i need other city and guild courses????????

Gash, go it alone as what?

installation electrician? building maintenance? Commercial/industrial/domestic? self employed Womble?

give us a clue fella, it helps giving the answer if we know exactly what the question is;)

Yeah your right wasnt very clear , im thinkin about agency work joining the construction industry scheme, commercial/ industrial elect maint, i think there should be plenty of work out there, as well as that tho trying to set up my own business as an installation electrician i have city and guild 2381 at the moment but im gona book myself in for 2391, 2392,2371, i know this will be a lot of work but il be very determined if i go ahead with it, its just the initial step of deciding to do it thats worrying me?!!!!
