Bought at chrismas impulse buy because it was so cheap advertised as a 17th addition Cu Pack.

wylex 10 way dbl rcd board with 8 mcb's and 10 dbl sockets bargin @ £98 + 15% off:D

went to install it on fri, No probs with the board all the sockets only have 1 earth terminal. New it was to good to be true:D

Got to say I think everything is expensive at B&Q for electrical componets.

I only ever use the place if I need something quick (usually small) for a job and it is closer then the wholesaler. Otherwise the wholsalers get my business.

because it was a 16th edition requirement that double socket faces have 2 earth terminals and you terminate 1 cpc in each of them

Is this true? Where does it state this in current regs?
Darren

was this only relevant if there is a possibility of a high leakage current present in the cpc i.e from IT equipment with switch mode power supplies in excess of ( if I recall correctly) 10mA is present ??

I havent heard of that 17th regulation either, So what do you do if you have a ring socket feeding a spur and you have 3 earth conductors ?? what do you do then if you can only put 1 in each terminal ?

Spoke to an inspector today and you are correct i must of miss understood him, this is only for I.T systems earth leakage,i terminal in each. also what i did not know is that if you have a radial serving an it system then you must return the cpc like a ring
