Hi can sombody please shed some light on this for me i cant get my head round the process ?

this is the equation i've been given

a 230v 12.5kw domestic cooker maximum demand current I=p/v =12500/230=54.35

i understand that bit but its this bit i dont get

applying diversitiy

first 10a of full load current =10A =44.35
+30% of remaining = 44.35 x 30% =13.35
+5a for socket outlet = 5A
TOTAL = 28.3

Can some one please explain to me how you get 28.3 from the original 54.35 ??????????

Diversity and cookers is simplicity it’s self.

When they’re all turned off, they won't be on.
When they’re all turned on occasionally all could be on or they could all be off.
When they’re all not turned off some may be off but some may be on.
When some are turned on, of the ones turned on some could be off. The ones turned off won’t be on.

Does that clear it up?

no sorry i think i follow
first 10a of full load current =10A =44.35
+30% of remaining = 44.35 x 30% =13.35
+5a for socket outlet = 5A
TOTAL = 28.3

from the first 10a i took off i then add on and then add 5 for the socket so it goes like 13.35 +10Aload =23.35+5a(socket) =28.35
