Sorry state when someone has to turn up for work and get told there isn’t any go home no pay.....it was like that when I started as a stevedore many years ago,you never know if ya coming or going.......not saying it justifies that obviously

Turning-up for work ----ed simply isn't acceptable, particularly when the person who is ----ed is operating a digger and therefore likely to be a danger to others. The employer did the right thing in telling the drunk employee to go home.
