just to let you know lads, 5-6week delay on ecs cards at the moment so make sure you renew at least 2 months before its due
 
I recently renewed mine. They advised a similar wait then. Mine arrived in about 4 weeks. - it was an online renewal.

It's pretty poor really but I don't think anyone police's JIB's performance with the ECS cards.

i went for the paper application, pain in the arse otherwise with so many sheets of paper
 
Last time I renewed mine I went and collected it the same day. Cost me over a ton if I remember correct.

i would but im going from an apprentice card to gold card.

sent them copies of all my certs
2330 lvl2
2330 lvl3
2357 lvl3
apprentaship completion certificate etc

wont cost me a thing so thats why ill moan and wait it out.

they can take as long as they like my apprentice one doesn't run out till 2017

And now you don't have to do the silly H&S test as your 2357 will cover you for 5years.

true, ive got a new book on order for testing and inpection.

the written parts of the test will kill me lol, my great aunts (gp) scrawl is more legible

I have the same issue with writing, so I know your pain lol. The exam success book is worth getting as it teaches you what is expected in the exam.

thanks, to be honest i was going to wait a little before i got that.

i have pre-ordered the new practical guide to testing and inspection already.

ill probably get the exam success book when it becomes clear if that is the one or they tweak it for the amendment (probably wont take the test till towards the end of next year, boss wants me to take it)
