This seems to have come up again.
I'll link you to a thread I made on the plumbing forum just yesterday about it.
All forum owners, in fact website owners, can access all content in their database.
It's not only a sensible thing to do but almost a requirement. A boring one but one that's needed every now and again.
Any forum owner who claims they can't access messages is pulling the wool over your eyes or doesn't have a clue how to access their own databases.

Wow. That thread went off topic there. Thread removed to be cleared up and put back. Poor new member got hounded unfairly then. I've deleted the user fully now. No bans for him. Those can be lifted in the future and to be honest I don't want that kind of person on the forum anymore. I apologise...
