An electrician was working on site, on a job converting a high street bank to a pub. He was working down in the old bank vaults, when suddenly the whole lot started caving in. He was lucky to escape with a few cuts and bruises, but was quite shaken up by it all, he thought he was a gonner. He was sent home, whilst they sorted everything out and made it safe.

His wife was home, baking cakes for the church group. She saw how shuck up he was, and got him to sit down with a nice cup of tea and a big slice of currant cake. Unfortunately for the poor electrician, he choked on a bit of cake, and died.

On his tombstone was written:

Also a huge thanks for Glenn our friend for donating the great prizes shown in the OP from Paul, well done fella very generous of you. Mike it has on just dawned on me this week, that 4 years ago a new member (me) asked a question "Can we have a trainee section to help on the 2391?"

4 years later we are running National competitions and helping others pass exams/becoming better Electricians! It's been a good 4 years, looking forward to the next 4 years. Massive Thank You to all my Mentors on this forum that got the T/S up and running, team effort.


All this just because a newbie asked a simple question! Amazing

Now that I've had time to go to the post office and pick up the parcel MDJ sent me, I've added half of the books to this prize draw on the first post. Keeping a few books for next months quiz/draw if that is ok Mike? ps I'm keeping the Fire Alarms BS5839 for myself, only until I have had a good read of it

Very generous MDJ, I was gob smacked when I opened your package (erm Matron). There is going to be some very happy people on this forum when the draw is made. I'm not looking forward to the cost of posting all these prizes out though lol.
