Hi all,

I'm struggling to find some info. My electrician (old Greek bloke) and local lighting shops not able to help so far.

I'm trying to find a replacement for this lamp holder insert for an old SBC wall light. As you can see the pins broken. Its an old wall lamp the wife got ages ago. No idea how old it actually is.

The white insert is 21mm in diameter. I've tried 3 so far but they are all too small.

Any ideas what the triangle in a triangle and 2/205 stamped on the outside of the holder mean? Will this help?

Any help appreciated.

B.

Welcome to the forum.
The 2/250 would be 2A rating and 250V rating. Not sure about the triangle possibly a manufacturers logo.

You state the insert is 21mm in diameter and the ones you have tried are too small so are you sure it is not a BC lampholder.
It does not seem so from the picture but scale is hard to judge.

Thanks. That certainly sounds like the easiest option.

The stem is part of the original so will have to fabricate a new one to the same length and shape to fit securely on the old light fitting then I guess.
