Leaving Sibert end of the month

Hi all,

Probably not terribly appropriate/relevant but thought it worth sharing - for those that don't already know, I'm starting a new position with Bosch Power Tec from 5th October. I hope to continue to participate on the forums and want to thank you all for your cooperation during my Sibert tenure over the past 6 or so years.

Are you going to be responsible for Bosch's inverters in the UK? Technical Support or Sales or both? I know some of the guys on here are not huge fans of Rexel.

Hi Whinmoor. As Sales Manager I will be partly responsible for looking after the existing primary wholesalers (Rexel, Wind & Sun and PGK Distribution) but the BPT-S range of inverters is only a small part of the overall portfolio and plan for the future, as far as I am already aware. Other divisional capabilities/technologies are being brought together to compliment their existing renewables offering, including battery storage, electric vehicle tech, home automation etc.

I don't have any historical dealings with Rexel myself tbh, and you always hear differing opinions so I'm looking forward to getting to the bottom of whatever issues there are, to see if I can help at all....

As for Tech Support, no doubt I'll get to a stage where I can assist directly, but I expect that the infrastructure already exists to support installer queries/issues etc. I dont think that Bosch rely on their distributors to provide such support....I think they prefer to manage that in-house. Could be wrong though, I am not yet privvy to all the details.
