Off the wall a bit but I've been reading about Brian May's home made guitar and how he incorporated a switch into it that would reverse the polarity of the pick ups and open up a load of different sounds. What I'd like is for you to come up with a switching arrangement that would do this because I fancy it for one of my guitars.

I've been thinking whether to post the question for a while mate, whether it's relevant or not but what is a guitar pick up? It's a small generator so in my world it's on the money. I can't wait for some of the answers:)

Especially when you consider what him and his dad made it out of. Have you read his book HT? If not, go to the library mate.

As coincidence would have it I'm watching a Queen gig with Mrs Trev right now

mate of mine used to manufacture guitars. he came up with the idea of splitting the pick up into 2 halves, so the 2 would move independently and produce different sounds to a single pick up.

Anyone know Brian May has a PHd in Astrophysics? :)

Just some useless info :P

Oh.... Nd here's me on the guitar :)

Yes he does, he submitted his dissertation about 35 years after starting it. Something got in the way of him finishing it.
