Pyro Clamps.

Got a job to do soon where sub mains x2 have been run to a flat in pyro. Earth via sheath. No gland fitted - just the pot with a BS951 clamp. Suspect it’s all imperial size and tight to access, so not planning to mess about with it too much.

Do these pyro clamps actually exist? Can anyone provide a link for them?

What are my alternatives? I don’t really want to leave the bonding clamps in place as it’s not really correct. I could try and solder a p clip on, but I’m not convinced my soldering skills/iron are up to it. The pyro will act as a heat sink presumably. I’ve only got a cheap thing.

Does anyone know of any sprung/constant pressure clamps that would be suitable? What about a jubilee clip - still a bodge?

The only clamps I know of are the through box type 20mm, what size is the MICC I would suspect H16.

What about some sort of stuffing gland, otherwise you will have to gland and repot.

One is probably 2h10 and the other 2h16.

Not sure that clamp would work as it would have to clamp on to the pot because of its design.

I don’t need a gland to ip4x as there is trunking above. I can use a bush and locknut just big enough to get the pot through. I just need a reliable connection to the sheath in the trunking.

If the pot is floating in the breeze, why cant you feed the pot through the 20mmhole and clamp down on the sheathing (if it will fit), then gland it into your trunking with lock nut.

If the std earthing clamp is on the Pot (not the cable) then it would actually comply.

BS951 clamps are suitable :

For bonding conductors to metal tubes of circular cross-section that have circumferences of not less than 18.8 mm (i.e. diameters of not less than
6 mm).

These clamps are also suitable for electrically bonding other conductive parts, where at least one is a tube of circular cross-section. Such clamps are not intended for connection to the armour or sheath of a cable.

Since the pot is of circular x section then it would be OK
