Evening

I am full time employed (mostly social housing- so don't even get involved in pricing!!! :policeman:)
Anyways- recently registered as s/e and a niceic d/i

Just wanted your guys views on below quote (as its all new to little old me)

For ground floor, single story extension- consumer unit is supposedly close by (not actually been to survey/quote yet)
job in Guildford area

8x mk plastic double sockets
10x 230v fire rated chrome down lights
2x outside wall lights

Think to do it by priced per point is best...

I am getting around £650-700......would you say about right? bit cheap? bit dear?

and then whatever I need to do at the c/u end of it- this would be on top of the £650-700

Would thought I will get 1st fix done in 1 day and return to complete 2nd fix in another day
so £650-700= materials+2days labor

Bare in mind it is for my friends boss (very busy builder- so his potential future custom is in back of my mind)

Look forward to your thoughts guys!

Id charge about £800-£900 for that if bonding and earthing is up to scratch and if there is a couple of spare RCD protected ways in the CCU.

You have to allow a little extra time as it may not be as simple as 1 day 1st fix and returning to do second fix in one day. For example you may want to return after it's been plastered but before mist coating to cut out down lights and and dry line boxes if any :smiley2:

I had my p/p/p at £30 for lights, £25 for sockets and added on 20%

guessing your p/p/p are tad higher?

I'd say you were cheap for Guildford area and as you haven't seen the job yet I think you need to go and take a look!

I know I know about looking 1st etc

I am just doing this prior for my own benefit- to give me a head start in my head :)

If you are going SE you need to understand ALL your business overheads..... and don't be surprised when they come to about £6K per year!
